Robert Aubin has been serving the citizens of Trois-Rivières since as New Democrat MP since 2011.
He led the fight to ensure that people whose homes were affected by pyrrhotite damage were compensated by the federal government.
As the NDP’s Employment Insurance critic, Robert was a leading voice against the Conservatives’ devastating EI reforms. He’s determined to continue fighting to protect Employment Insurance and make life more affordable for the middle class as part of Tom Mulcair’s NDP team.
Robert has also served as NDP critic for la Francophonie, Transport, Infrastructure and Communities—proof of his many competencies. Always there for his constituents and colleagues, he was elected Chair of the NDP’s Quebec Caucus three times.
Robert is also known in the region for his work as a musician and is very involved in the cultural sector.
